How much does it cost to attend GESS?

GESS Dubai is free of charge to visit, you can register now online for free

Do I have to pre-register or can I just turn up on the day?

Online registration is open now until the last day of the show, so you can register quickly and easily in advance online for fast track entry at the event. If you don’t want to register online you can register when you get to the venue.

If I’ve registered can I attend on more than one day?

Once you’ve registered you can visit GESS on any of the days the show is open and you can attend as many of our fabulous conference sessions as you like.

Do you give a certificate of attendance?

Yes all attendees who attend our conference sessions are eligible for a certificate of attendance. You can collect these onsite at the dedicated terminals and choose to either print it straight away or email it to print at home.

Who is exhibiting?

A full list of all our fantastic exhibitors and brands will be displayed on our website closer to the event. Last year we had over 550 international and local brands showcasing the very best in interactive technology, digital education supplies, virtual technology, ergonomic furniture, SEN, books, sports, science and laboratory equipment plus, many more products and solutions for your school or institution.

Who should visit?

GESS is a business to business trade exhibition and is designed for all levels of educational professionals, whether you are a head teacher, head of procurement, head of department, dean, professor, lecturer, teacher or just involved in education, there’s something for everyone.

We’ll be publishing the list of our amazing speaking line up closer to the show, keep checking our website or follow us on Twitter @gesseducation to keep up to date with the latest show news.

Will there be any conferences?

Yes an integral part of the GESS show is our CPD accredited conference programme. Our 2017 show had over 200 conference session all free of charge to attend and featuring hands on learning that you can put into place into the classroom immediately.

Can I register my colleague?

Yes you can either send them the online registration link or once you’ve completed your registration there are a number of options to invite or register colleagues.

How do I speak at GESS Dubai?

Visit our conference page for information about speaking opportunities and details about the conference. You will need to complete the speaker form in full.

Can students attend GESS?

GESS is a business to business trade exhibition for educational professionals, so students are not eligible to attend. The only exception to this is if students are taking part in one of our conference sessions or invited to demo products on an exhibitors stand.

Can I get a visa letter?

We are able to supply visa letters once you have registered online, for visa assistance visit our Venue & Travel page to find contact details of our travel agency.

What is the deadline for exhibiting or booking a stand?

There are no deadlines for exhibiting at GESS, however there are deadlines for international shipping to ensure delivery of items onsite as follows:

  • The latest date of arrival for LCL shipments or conventional cargo:  15 February 2018
  • The latest date of arrival for FCL containers at Jebel Ali port, Dubai: 15 February 2018
  • The latest date of arrival for Air Freight at Dubai Int'l Airport - DXB:  19 February 2018

What stand options are available?

How much does it cost to exhibit?

Are there any options for start-up business other than taking a stand?

What free marketing and promotional support do you offer to exhibitors?

What are the opening times and venue?

GESS Dubai will take place from the 27 February  – 1 March 2018 at Dubai World Trade Centre, opening times are 10:00 – 18:00 on the 27th and 28th, on the 1st 10:00 – 16:00. For more information visit our venue and travel page.

How much does it cost to advertise in the catalogue?

The show guide is distributed to everyone attending GESS so advertising in the show guide is a convenient way to get information about your company and message to all the visitors and buyers at the show.

Speaker FAQs

How do I register to speak at GESS Dubai 2018?

In order to be considered for a speaking slot at GESS Dubai you need to complete our speaker form in full.

How do I submit the details of a talk for GESS Dubai 2018?

You need to complete our online speaker form, we cannot accept submissions by email as we need all the information requested to access your suitability. You will be asked who the talk is for, title, bio, high-res image, brief abstract and title of the talk. The form must be completed in full before you can submit it.

What are the opening dates and times of GESS Dubai?

What is the closing date to apply to speak at GESS Dubai?

01 December 2017

How will I know if my submission is successful?

We will contact you for further information in January 2018, if you haven’t heard from us by that time then unfortunately your application has not been successful.

What should my talk focus on at GESS Dubai?

This year our theme is “We Love Education”, the talk must be related to education, should not be from a commercial company and should give our teaching community learning to take away. The most successful talks focus on the “how to” rather than debate and theory.

Does GESS Dubai cover any speaker expenses?

As GESS Dubai and GEF are free of charge for attendees the organisers are unable to cover any speaker costs including travel, hotel or expenses.

I would like to invite my colleagues to see me talk?

Brilliant! They can register for free online on our website or we will also provide you with a soft copy of a banner and leaflet for you to send out to let people know you are talking at GESS.

I’ve been accepted to talk at GEF – what now?

We will be in contact with further details, closer to the time you will be sent speaker joining instructions. We will also contact you for social media details and perhaps an interview or PR coverage to help raise awareness of your talk. If you have any more questions you can speak to a member of the conference team.
